Multi-level Dialogue Act Tags

چکیده
In this paper we discuss the use of multilayered tagsets for dialogue acts, in the context of dialogue understanding for multiparty meeting recording and retrieval applications. We discuss some desiderata for such tagsets and critically examine some previous proposals. We then define MALTUS, a new tagset based on the ICSI-MR and Switchboard tagsets, which satisfies these requirements. We present some experiments using MALTUS which attempt to compare the merits of integrated versus multi-level classifiers for the detection of dialogue acts.

Dialogue Acts: One or More Dimensions?
This report surveys the main theories of dialogue and communication that have been used to devise dialogue act tagsets, distinguishing theories that deal with a specific level of communication from theories that integrate several levels. The report proceeds to analyse four dialogue act tagsets that have been used to annotate large scale dialogue corpora (damsl, swbd-damsl, icsi-mrda and maltus)...

متن کاملTags Re-ranking Using Multi-level Features in Automatic Image Annotation
Automatic image annotation is a process in which computer systems automatically assign the textual tags related with visual content to a query image. In most cases, inappropriate tags generated by the users as well as the images without any tags among the challenges available in this field have a negative effect on the query's result. In this paper, a new method is presented for automatic image...
متن کاملModeling Lateral Communication in Holonic Multi Agent Systems
Agents, in a multi agent system, communicate with each other through the process of exchanging messages which is called dialogue. Multi agent organization is generally used to optimize agents’ communications. Holonic organization demonstrates a self-similar recursive and hierarchical structure in which each holon may include some other holons. In a holonic system, lateral communication occurs b...
متن کاملDialogueView: an Annotation Tool for Dialogue
This paper describes DialogueView, a tool for annotating dialogues with utterance boundaries, speech repairs, speech act tags, and discourse segments. The tool provides several views of the data, including a word view that is timealigned with the audio signal, and an utterance view that shows the dialogue as if it were a script for a play. The utterance view abstracts away from lower level deta...
